SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The complete ARM system combines the five different modules into one comprehensive management package.

Protocols Module and Animal Orders Module

Two modules control ordering and processing of animals:

• The Protocol module
• The Animals module

Together these two modules form the heart of the ARM system. They interact to ensure that only the animals necessary to a protocol are ordered, and that every animal ordered is actually used in a protocol.  The Protocol and Animals modules allow you to:

• define and track protocols as required by the USDA and funding agencies
• assign staff to a project
• order and receive animals
• record completed animal orders

This information is shared between these modules, automatically linking protocols to orders and vice versa.  The basic information you enter here is also used by Billing and the Optional ARM modules, Veterinary and Cost Accounting.

Billing Animal Costs Module

With the Billing Module you can keep track of your care days and supplies by protocol to ensure that the appropriate project is billed. There are a number of reports that enable you to print your animal data.

Optional Veterinary Module

The Veterinary Module enables you to track and maintain the veterinary needs of the animals and incorporate that information into your system as a whole. Health data, treatment schedules, and drugs are tracked through this module.

Optional Cost Accounting Module

The Cost Accounting Module enables you to provide details for determining and validating you animal billing rates. It uses the data from all the other modules and compares revenue to your actual cost data.

System Requirements ARM is deliberately designed to run on the PC network you already have. A Local Area Network (LAN) supporting multiple user workstations (e.g., Windows, Novell). A File Server with at least 40 MB of disk space available. End-User Workstations that are PC or fully-compatible machines, with an Intel or compatible 486 or higher processor, running either Windows or Linux. Local or Networked Printers that are either laser, ink-jet, or dot-matrix.
